Inspired by the hexagonal cowfish exoskeleton, Ostra translates the natural geometry of marine structures, specifically the hexagonal cowfish, into a refined, symmetrical armature. The fixture uses modular triangular folds and patterned surface treatments to express connectivity and geometric biomimicry. Built from mahogany plywood, the form is composed of two layered surfaces that, when illuminated, create a subtle distortion and reveal shifting patterns within the structure. The result is a light that showcases the relationship between organic repetition and precise engineered form.
